The questions I get a lot is.....
how to burn fat fast or
how do I build muscle fast and burn fat fast or
how to get ripped and or
how much cardio do I do.
First of all I don't do cardio!!!!
....... and NO I'm not blessed with great genetics I can put on a ton of weight fast. At 6"2 I once weighed 240 lbs at the age of 23 but currently I way 198 lbs at the age of 36. The way you lose weight, build muscle and get ripped is by lifting weights and eating the right foods. I look at cardio from this viewpoint and you should as well...... cardio is building up your cardiovascular system (heart and lung function). But so many people do cardio to burn fat....yes it helps to burn fat but it also burns muscle!!!! Plus as your cardiovascular system gets stronger the more cardio you will have to do just to burn the same amount of calories you were burning a week ago or even the prior day!!! The way you burn fat and get ripped is to lift weights and build muscle... the more muscle you have on your body the more calories you will burn each day just sitting around!!! The more calories you burn a day the less likely you will have excess calories you have not burned off at the end of the day which turns into fat!!! The more lean muscle you have on your body the higher your metabolism will be!!! That's why when you become overweight and obese you will gain more weight because you do not have much lean muscle which causes your metabolism to slow down..... you may not even EAT AS MUCH as I do at 198 lbs and still be gaining more weight!!! Your diet must consist of the right carbs such as brown rice, whole grain bread, sweet potatoes and stay away from bad carbs like white bread, white potatoes, white rice, most breakfast cereals, cakes, cookies, sodas etc.

You should also have 5-6 small meals a day and stay away from having 3 big traditional meals. Each meal should have a lean protein 20-40 grams and good carbs of about 20-30 grams and no more than that!!!
BY THE WAY WRITING THIS POST REMINDS ME I NEED TO DO MORE CARDIO MY CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM COULD USE SOME STRENGTHENING!!!
